
The Sumatran tiger is 1 of 5 sub-species of tigers left in the world and is from the Indonesian Island, "Sumatra". The sub-species list includes the bengal, indochinese, siberian, the chinese and the sumatran tigers. These species are all listed on the U.S. Dept of Interiors Endangered Species List. There is only approx. 400 to 600 sumatrans left in the wild.
